My Good Experience
Anindita Rivy Larasati
2 SMP, 19 September 2005
This is about my good experience during a school camping in Malang. The camping was organised by my school: SMPN 1 Sidoarjo. This programme was held on 29 April-1 May 2005. Many of my teachers, schoolmates, classmates, and I joined this camping. We went to Malang by several busses. Before leaving some of my classmates and I went to the school canteen to buy some food for supply for the journey. I was from the Karate Group. Our bus was big so that all of my classmates could get into bus. It ran so quickly.
In the bus we could play guitar, sleep, and do other activities. I sat with Septiana and Rani. They were my classmates. We played guitar and sang songs. We were very happy in there.
Finally, our bus arrived at the camping area in Trawas (Malang). After that, my group and I set up the tents. Next, we went to the teachers’ tents to have lunch. After that, we took shower in bathrooms.
In the late evening, we set the campfire. We were tired at that time.
The next day, many students and I took part in many competitions organised by the teachers, for example: balap karung, panjat pinang, outbound, adventure, and others. My friends and I were happy to participate. Our group competed in balap karung, outbound, and panjat pinang. My group took the first place in all kinds of the competition. We got some presents like noodles (Mie Sedap), and soap for washing the dishes. After all, we were very happy with them.
The day after, we had an exploration in the mountainous area near the camping area. We were very…very…happy at the time because we could see a beautiful panorama in there, and we could learn to be courageous. In the exploration we were jumping, sliding, and screaming. After that, we had a lunch with our teachers. I ate noodles, ehmm…. It’s delicious….
In the afternoon, we had to neat our tents…. And we went back to school…
In the bus we played guitar and sang songs. After arriving at our school, we checked our bags. At 15.00 PM, we had to participate in a karate exams to have higher belts. When I took my turn, my heart was pulsating. After that I was satisfied, I hoped I could get a higher belt.
Finally, I went back home with my friends. I was very happy at the time….
It’s my good experience….
My Experience in Duinrell
Deriano Vidyatama
2 SMP, 19 September 2005
First, I want to tell you about basic leadership training at my school. The students were divided into groups. My group was the Imam Bonjol, which consisted of Andrey, Amar, Ando, Bonar and I myself. The teachers who supervised our group were Mr. Iskandar and Mr. Wariso.
In the morning we went to Duinrell, an amusement park near our school. All the groups bought the tickets to enter the park. Inside, I tried many games and attractions. My favourite amusement was the ‘Splash’ because it is a good game. The ‘Splash’ was a vehicle like boat, which was run in rails. First the passengers got into it and set the safety-handle. Then it ran up to a height and went down quickly through a pool of water. It was similar to a roller coaster but there is water under the rails.
After I played many games and attractions, I had lunch by the tables already provided in the park.
Then we went back to the school to play some other games. Many of these activities at school trained us to be a leader. The game that I liked very much was ‘throwing the water balloons.’ I liked this game because the balloons were filled with water. Someone who was hit by a water balloon and his/her body becomes wet he/she loses and out of the field. After all the games were over, the participants came together into the school to join the announcement of the winners, which were classified into group and individual champions. After that we took some pictures and went home.

When I see everything Sightseeing to the sky
Thought myself made Commitment not to love others again
In this place……No one heard me
This loneliness and sadness are really painful
To love deeply….worsening my heart-broken
Why don’t you understand what I want
Only one word makes you left me further
Don’t ever make me think….
The happiness always ends with the sadness
When the painful sadness comes there will be no more Tears
Say love to me
Gently beside my ear
I really miss that Happiness feeling moment
Love is unpredictable
And we also haven’t either understand it
……which is those painful love Where is…TRUE LOVE….
Say love to me
With the deepest feeling hands makes warm me
Although you cannot approve me how long you have this feeling to me
I know that you ever thought
What I wish not too much
I’m willing to see the sky in that pretty moment
Together….
Suicide: Why and How to Prevent It
Sri Indah Cahyani, 1 SMA, 16 September 2005
A lot of teenagers think that the fast way to end their problems with suicide. Suicide is killing themselves. And they have a lot of reasons why they do that. One of the reasons is that they can’t handle a problematic situation. So they think the only way to end their problems is with suicide. They think nobody cares about them. So nobody can help them to get trough their problems. So they just run away from their problems with a very shallow way.
A lot of problems that make some teenagers choose that way such as financial problems, they are shy because they don’t have what the others have and that makes them feel desperate. And other problems are broken-home, their parents always at odds or abuse (whether physical or sexual) and those problems make them down and so desperate. Sometimes it is just because of a simple thing that makes them to take their lives.
I think it can happen because of lack of attention of the people around them. We start from family; maybe parents should give more attention to their children. Sometimes their children think their parents are careless of them. But actually maybe their parents are too busy with their career, or even the parents abuse their children.
And we should care about our friends too. Sometimes at school we like to ignore the nerds. What you feel if you are in their position. You must be desperate and hate the universe. Maybe they are weird but their just human being, so treat them like human too. So we start off to prevent a suicide from a small community.
If somebody tells you that he or she planned to commit suicide, you must give him or her advice that suicide is not a solution of his or her problems. If you think to do suicide just forget it and don’t think about that again. Against a suicide!
My Soul mate (A Poem)
Ivandry Febriando (Ando), 1 SMA, 16 September 2005
If I only have one wish……….
Nothing more I ever wanted than you …….
Rush, to tell you that
I love you so much
Many times I’ve been
Around
Right soul I’m searching for
Dark is no longer
I found you in my emptiness
A gift from Heaven above
Now I know
The answer must be you
My love

MA DOG
Yosephine N. Maulany
I had a cute dog, named Chiko. My cousin gave him to me 3 years ago. I don’t know what race of dog he was. Since he was little he liked to play a lot, always bit everything. It always barked even in the midnight, I thought he saw a ghost. My brother, my father and I used to play with him every day.
After a year he grew up and tried to make a trouble with our neighbours. Once in the afternoon I rode a bicycle, and I saw my dog bit a little child. I was in panic!!! I didn’t know what to do? I told my mother and we took that child to a hospital.
After that my dog was removed from my house, my uncle took care of him. But when I was visiting him he looked very sad, very thin! I wanted to cry when I saw him. My dog always fought against other dogs, but in pairing-season he acted like a fool. He paired a female dog, and a few months later came Chiko junior. But the junior was not as cute as my dog. Last year I had to go to Netherlands. I was very sad that I had to leave him. When I went from my house to the airport I kissed him and he was barking. I really didn’t want to let him go, and neither did he!
From the Netherlands I always thought about him every single night, but what could I do? When my brother came here he told that Chiko had no strength anymore. Maybe he felt sad, no friends. Last month while I was studying I heard news from my brother that Chiko died. I was shock! I didn’t know what to say. I was crying, I always remember him. But I think he’s now happy. I can’t see my Chiko anymore. He’s the cutest dog I ever had; someday I will get another Chiko with my new family.

GOODBYE HIGH SCHOOL…. HELLO COLLEGE
Ajeng Kinanti Sarwono
I’m a high school student. I go to the Indonesian Embassy School in Netherlands. This is the only one Indonesian school that left in Western Europe. I’m on the third grade that means this is the last year for me on high school. It is so hard for being the third grade student. We have to study very hard so that we will pass the final exam. In the third grade the students are divided into 2 classes: IPA and IPS. IPA is learning about the natural sciences and most of it is calculating. IPS is about social subjects. One of the students in IPS is I.
I have to study. I’m not just studying or learning from what I’ve got in the third grade but also what I’ve got in the first and second grades. It means that I have to start it again learning all the materials from the first grade. And there is also one subject that the teacher says I have to learn it myself with my group because I didn’t get that subject from the first year; that is Accountancy.
Days go by. I only have 8 or 9 months until the final exam. I’m kind of nervous. I’m scared that I wouldn’t pass the final because sometimes I get a kind of lazy in learning those materials. I’m scared that I should re-start the high school again if I didn’t pass the exam.
My plan is to go to Indonesia after I finished my exam; so then I could go to some kind of extra courses. I need extra courses for SPMB. SPMB is like a test so then if we pass it we can go to the popular university. Only few hundreds will be admitted from thousands of applying students. We have to retain good grades to pass the test.
I really want to go to Universitas Indonesia. But, if I can’t be into that university maybe I will take Plan B. The Plan B is that I will enrol to another university. Maybe I will choose Trisakti University because my mother and my father graduated from there or in Atma Jaya University. Atma Jaya is my last alternative because I don’t really wanna go there.
I wish I could be accepted at a good university. So then I will be a city girl. An independent city girl that always hangs out with my friends and being popular around Jakarta. So first I will pick up Nea, she lives in nearby my house and then we’ll go pick up Mira. After that we will chillin’ around Jakarta. Nea and Mira are my close classmates here.
That was just my plan. I don’t know whether everything will go as it is planned or not. Because sometimes thing doesn’t go as we wanted to. I just hope that I could pass the final exam with the best grades and go to college in Jakarta with my other friends. So then maybe I will say “Goodbye High School…. Hello College.

Holiday at TMII
By Prabadika Radifan Harisuddin
I live in Bogor. On one Sunday my family and I went to the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). There, I watched the Mystery Niagara movie in the Keong Mas Theatre. After that, I saw the traditional houses from all parts of Indonesia. There were for example Rumah Gadang from West Sumatra, Rumah Joglo from East Java, and so on. After seeing the traditional houses, I took a cable car so that I could see the sceneries from above.
Then we had lunch in a traditional restaurant. After that we went to the Aquarium Museum. In there, we could see many fish from the smallest to the biggest in size. There was the biggest fish from the Amazon River. Its length reached 5 metres. And the smallest fish was the cupang fish.
From the Aquarium Museum we went to the Bird Park. In the park we saw many kinds of birds from throughout the world. In there we could also feed the birds.
After enjoying the Bird Park, we went to have our dinner at Sundanese restaurant. And then we went home. On the way we had a problem that was the crowded traffic jam. I arrived home at 20:30.

Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan
Kamis tanggal 1 September 2005 siswa SIN mengikuti Latihan Dasar Kepemimpinan (LDK).
(Karya Joe)
